Communication Friendly Settings - Gold
CFS Gold membership offers CPD to enable CFS schools and early years settings to continue their Elklan journey in building their practical skills and knowledge to support children’s language and communication. The Gold membership takes effect after CFS has been completed. The package will offer Mentor Meetings to support the Lead Communication Practitioners and CPD workshops for LCPs and Level 3 practitioners to develop their skills. CFS Gold is available to Early Years Settings, Primary Schools and Secondary Schools.
Gold Features
For the 3 years after gaining CFS status until CFS status is renewed, Elklan’s new CFS Gold membership provides schools and settings with:
Mentor Meetings with a senior Elklan Tutor to which LCPs can bring challenges, concerns and successes to discuss, share ideas and explore solutions around speech, language, and communication issues. Mentor Meetings will usually be virtual in groups of up to ten for 1 hour.
Workshops delivered by senior Elklan Tutors. A menu will be available and, subject to capacity, all Level 3 Elklan trained staff and the LCPs will be able to choose workshops most appropriate to them. The LCPs are advised to attend 2 x workshops a year to support their setting’s CFS renewal.
15% Discounts on Elklan courses and resources and complementary access to Sound Builders which is a set of programmes to support children aged four years and older whose speech sound system is delayed.

Cost per Setting
Membership lasts for 3 years.
Gold Membership Cost: £200 plus VAT per year including the cost of renewal
Gold Membership Cost for small EY and Primary settings: £150 plus VAT per year
Settings who have had a Gold Membership for 3 years will receive their renewal for free. If Gold membership is held for less than 3 years following CFS completion the renewal will cost £150.
A Small Early Years Setting is a setting with <10 staff.
A Small Primary Setting is a school with <100 pupils.
