What is The CROSS?

The CROSS is a new, attractive and child-friendly phonology assessment, which scores and rates children's speech in single words and sentences. It is uniquely designed for both hearing and hearing impaired/deaf children, by the use of separate scoring systems. Scores and severity ratings link directly to levels of intervention to assist and justify planning and therapy provision. The CROSS allows the measuring of outcomes and monitoring of the effectiveness of intervention.

What is included in the manual?

The test includes 55 child friendly pictures in laminated book form and is practical, and easy to administer and analyse. It includes photocopiable phonological processes checklist, phoneme inventory and analysis chart, vowels checklist, sentence level section, nonsegmental section.
