Applicants must be able to implement a speech programme with one child.
If you would like to check if a speech programme is appropriate for a child, and you do not have access to a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to carry out an assessment, you can request a remote assessment through Elklan. If you would like an assessment carried out remotely by Elklan please click here.
If this it is not possible to implement a speech progrmame with one child, apply instead to access the e-learning sessions and live webinars but not to complete a Learning Log or gain accreditation. This means you can attend if you have an interest in this field and/or hope to work with children who have unclear speech at a later date. You will not have the additional work of implementing that which you have learnt with a child but neither will you gain accreditation. You will be issued with an attendance certificate only. This will cost £270 plus VAT.
If you select the non-accredited option but find you are able to work with a child, you can complete a Learning Log and gain accreditation but due to the extra administration particularly in finding an assessor specifically for you and the marking involved there will be a charge of £100 plus VAT for a late application to complete a learning log. This means you will pay a total of £370 to complete the online sessions and attend the live webinars now and then complete a learning log at a later date rather than £330 when all activities are completed at the same time.
