This course is also available via face-to-face training

This course is for you if you are supporting users of AAC, and wish to equip them with innovative tools and methods to develop and encourage communication. Andrea Lee, who wrote the course, is a highly specialist speech and language therapist. During the training she shares a wealth of practical strategies and activities with underpinning theoretical knowledge to give you a thorough grounding in this complex area.

  • Registration with OCN London to enable you to achieve accreditation at level 2 or 3 for practitioners or level 4 when taken as CPD for SaLTs (accredited courses only)

*This is an accredited course and so you will need to actively engage with the training and complete a learning log. To do this you should expect to set aside around 4½ hours weekly.

This will include:

  • 1 to 1½ hours to complete the online session and prepare observations etc. for the live webinar
  • 1 hour to attend the live webinar
  • 1½-2 hours to plan, implement knowledge and strategies learnt and write-up the plan, observations and evaluation in an online e-log
