Henrietta McLachlan and Charlie McLachlan will be showcasing Elklan at the SENIA conference in Bonn, Germany on the 30th of September to the 2nd of October. The conference will also be online for those who can’t make it to Bonn. We have donated two raffle prizes to the SENIA conference, one in person and one online, so don’t forget to join in with the raffle.
SENIA was started by a group of international school teachers in China in 2002. The goal was to create a support network for teachers and other professionals working with children with special educational needs in Asia. Over the years they have grown to include other regions of the world.
Elklan attended SENIA’s last face-to-face conference in Hong Kong in 2019, so can’t wait to meet the SENIA team and delegates again in Germany this year. This is SENIA’s 20th year, and we can’t wait to be a part of it!
Charlie, Heather Price and I will be flying out to Dubai to exhibit at the Outstanding Schools Middle East conference on the 5th and 6th of October. Our tutor, Jazz Bumbra who resides in Dubai, will be accompanying us to deliver a case study about her work in Kings’ International School. Jazz supported Kings’ School to gain their Elklan Communication Friendly Setting (CFS) award, and the feedback from the school staff has been amazing.

Outstanding Schools Middle East is the oldest and largest conference in the series. Over 200 research calls are conducted with school leaders from the region each year to ensure the conference content is useful, practical and engaging. In such exciting but turbulent times, never has it been more important to connect and learn from each other’s experiences.
