A practical training course for those of you living at home or in a residential setting with young people and adults with learning difficulties
About the course
If you are keen to maximise the communication potential of young people and adults both at home and in other settings, then this course is for you.
It will provde you with:
- A wealth of information and an opportunity to share experiences with other families and carers of young people and adults who have severe learning difficulties
- Practical advice and strategies which are easy to implement in your home or residential setting
- Let's Talk with Young People with SLD workbook, a practical resource containing an abundance of tips, ideas and strategies
- Registration with OCN London to enable you to achieve accreditation at level 1 (accredited courses only)
You'll be taught over five two-hour sessions. These are available via Zoom as well as direct face-to-face teaching. The content of both is exactly the same, just the delivery method is different. These are fun and interactive and cover a wide range of topics.
Online Training
£150 plus VAT per person, excluding optional accreditation and marking.
Accreditation and marking can be purchased separately for an additional £103.00 inc. VAT.

If you want to delve a bit deeper, then apply for Speech and Language Support for Pupils with SLD. This will develop your knowledge and practical skills in key areas and can lead to accreditation at level 2 or 3.
